The Discover SCUBA course is generally held on a Friday night. This is always a VERY popular night so get in quick! Your Scout will be talking about this for a long time to come. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the Scouts enjoy.
All attending Scouts need to be there by 6:00pm as we have a bit of paper work to get through before we get into the good, stuff. This will be an event where the parents will have to arrange to get your own Scout there, you will also have to allow an hour to get across town.
The night will begin by watching a DVD that goes for about fifteen minutes then Frog Dive will re-go over some of the more important points so that they understand.
We then jump in the pool for between 45 – 60 minutes each group.
We need a minimum of eight and we usually run a maximum of sixteen. This is because we can only put eight in the pool at a time and numbers over sixteen make it a late night.
The pool, is heated to 26 degrees, therefore no need for a wet-suit.
Finishing time is usually about 9pm.
Please remember that the pool is at our shop 539 Willoughby Rd, Willoughby. NOT at the Willoughby Leisure Centre.
Cost is $30 per head payable in cash at the beginning of the night.
Please fill out the E1 and the waiver (below) prior to coming along as if they don’t have it we can’t let them dive (there are two pages in the Waiver and one for the E1).
