Our next Activity to plan is State Rally. This is held on 4th – 6th August. This is a patrol activity similar to Scout Hike but there is a central camping area and scouts just take a day pack out each day.

ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND AT http://www.patroltent.com/events-and-calendar/state-rally-2/

This is a patrol event and it would be great if we could have all our patrols going. Similar to scout hike Patrol leaders have to register their own patrol to generate the E1

The cost is $35 plus scouts provide their own food.

PLEASE ADVISE OF YOUR INTENTION TO PARTICIPATE BY 1st July  SO THAT THE PATROLS CAN BE ORGANISED AND REGISTERED BEFORE THE CUT OFF DATE.

What is State Rally?

NSW State Rally runs every year, normally on the first weekend of August. This event is focused on giving the attendees a worthwhile activity whereby they have some fun and learn whilst doing. The focus of State Rally is to provide activities to challenge the Scouts, which are Award Scheme focused, Patrol System based and cover all three levels of the Award Scheme. Our Regional Commissioners Scouts have been challenged to focus their activities on the Adventurer Level award scheme, providing opportunities for leading, doing and learning at all other levels.

There will be three Activity RACs providing activities around the Glenfield Scout Activity Centre.  Each activity will be supervised by Leaders and assisted by Venturers, Rovers and other adult helpers.

All Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and Adult Helpers are accommodated on the sleeping RAC, in separate areas.  The Scout and Venturer sleeping areas are supervised till late in the evening and from the early hours of the morning.  There are Leaders close-by overnight to manage any emergencies.

RAC themes this year will include Sci-Fi, Animated Characters, Pirates & Princesses, and you will be sleeping deep on the ‘Ultimate Slumber’ RAC.

This is a competition camp.  Participants will win points whilst completing fun filled activities for their Patrol.  The marking scheme will be based on their performance against the Award Scheme requirements and their demonstrated team work as a Patrol.  Activities will be one hour in duration each, and may consist of a number of smaller activities.  Patrol Leaders will also be scored on their Leadership Capabilities
